Varsity Coaches

Varsity Head Coach Chris Freeman
Coach Freeman joined the Reedley basketball family in 2018 as the head coach of the JV team. Before this, Coach Freeman coached as a varsity assistant coach for Clovis North High School boys' basketball for the 2014-2015 season, then became the Clovis North High School boys' basketball freshmen team assistant for the 2015-2016 season. After taking a year off from coaching to focus on his college academics, he realized just how much he missed coaching the game of basketball and knew that Reedley would be just the place to get back into it. Coach Freeman says that he has "never coached such hardworking athletes that truly appreciate and realize how special the game of basketball is". No matter if his team wins or loses, Coach Freeman's goal is to always make sure his players work hard, work together, and become better people at the end of day. Or in other words, "Family, Commitment, Excellence".
If Coach Freeman could spend 24/7 in the basketball gym, he would. However, he does manage to find time for some of his other favorite activies. Whether it is fishing, camping, going to the movies, coaching for Reedley High School's softball team, or spending time at home with his family and dog, Nala, he makes sure to be 100% present in whatever he chooses to do.
He is excited for the upcoming season and to continue working with Reedley High School and their athletes.
